Oliver J. Flint - An Introduction

Being awarded the “Most Likely to Start a Protest” award as part of the founding Global and International Studies program @ Carleton University, I am consistently looking to challenge norms and make a splash (no matter where the project).

Majoring in Global Law and Social Justice, I was taken by the nature of modern communication - how can brands leverage contemporary globalization to better their reach, sales and public image in an increasingly digital world? While briefly stationed in New York with Madison Avenue ambition, I found that the skills I needed weren’t in books @ NYU, they were out in the world. This led to more of a technical, hands-on, graduate education in the mediums, digital strategy, and even grammar required in writing for an international market in one of the world’s most global cities (Toronto). 

My career has taken me around the world creating strategic digital content for international audiences for a series of intersectional clients. These include those in B2B (Commvault, Donnely Financial Solutions), B2C (Samsung, Hankook Tire, GORE-TEX), and not-for-profit (International Support for Uyghurs, LetsStopAids, Projects Abroad).

Forever unsettled, my office is not limited to a corner-cubical in downtown Toronto. You can find me all over the world leveraging my creative energy with a drive to engage with different places, people, and cultures. This allows me to stay nimble and intersectional in creativity. 

Ultimately, for me, it is about properly and effectively utilizing our inherent 21st-century global existence to produce concise communication methods that encourage action in our community.
